Here's another penstemon found near Trout Creek in the Collegiate Range on our way home.

Again, according to our chosen expert, Lorraine Yeatts, whom we appreciate so much (!), this is

Penstemon virgatus, a totally glabrous penstemon. Especially like the bug on the bud at the top of the stem.”

I'd not even noticed the “bug”! So it goes with experts. They're SO observant.

 

It is teachers such as Lorraine who, by their deep knowledge and gentle willingness to share, inspire us to stretch,

to learn and thereby make the planet a better place — much better. Our lives are overflowing with

those kinds of experts in so many areas, so many ways. Myrna and I are ever so grateful for that fact.
