After collapsing, tired and happy, for a great rest, we headed out early the next morning. I'd forgotten we have

our own version of rain forests here in Colorado. This image reminds me of one I saw years ago of a redbud tree

in the woods. It was taken by Eliot Porter and I've found it linked here. His redbud tree kind of popped out of the picture

as the leaves seem to do in the lower right of this one.
